Honored to Be Ranked Among LA’s Top Private Chefs
In January 2021, I received the kind of news that makes you pause, reflect, and feel deeply grateful.

I was named #7 in LA Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Private Chefs in Los Angeles — a true honor, especially coming from a publication dedicated to highlighting the work and grit of small business owners and entrepreneurs here in LA. Read the full issue here.
LA Entrepreneur Magazine (LAEM) is the first magazine created specifically to spotlight the entrepreneurial spirit of our city. To be recognized in their Issue #6 alongside such talented culinary professionals means the world to me — and it fuels my mission to continue uplifting Indigenous Fusion Cuisine through storytelling, traveling, and cooking.
I launched my personal chef business, Pyet’s Plate, in 2015 with one goal in mind: to share food that nourishes the body and honors my roots. From my Native American and Mexican heritage to the time I spent growing up on the Osage reservation and in Kansas City’s vibrant taquerias, every dish I make is a bridge between cultures, history, and healing.
Being included in LAEM’s list is not just a win for me — it’s a win for every chef who’s ever cooked from the heart, every Native and Indigenous cook who’s weaving their traditions into today’s tables, and every small business owner carving out space in this city.
Thank you, LAEM, for seeing me. And thank you to every client, follower, and friend who has supported my journey. This recognition reminds me that the work matters, and that we’re just getting started.
With gratitude,Chef Pyet
