Rooted in Fire: A Coronado Public Library Adventure

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be joining the Coronado Public Library for a special Rooted in Fire event on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM Pacific in Coronado, California!

As part of my Rooted in Fire book tour, I’ll be talking about the stories, flavors, and inspiration behind my new cookbook, Rooted in Fire: A Celebration of Native American and Mexican Cooking. This event, hosted by Adventures by the Book, celebrates the connection between food, identity, and culture that has shaped my journey as a chef.

I’m honored to be joined by Chef Claudia Sandoval, an award-winning chef and bestselling author who brings so much heart and knowledge to every conversation about food and heritage. Together, we’ll explore what it means to preserve tradition, share our stories, and cook with purpose.
