I was so honored to be featured in Mark Mendoza’s Passion Series, a beautifully curated project that highlights creatives, visionaries, and purpose-driven people doing what they love. In our conversation, I shared how cooking has always been more than just a profession for me, it’s where I feel most connected to myself and to others.


As I said in the interview, “I find myself getting closer to wholeness when I am cooking and sharing food with others.”That wholeness is what fuels me. It’s what inspires every dish I create, every meal I serve, and every cultural story I tell through food.


My work as a private chef, especially within Indigenous Fusion Cuisine, is deeply personal. It allows me to blend my Native American and Mexican heritage into dishes that nourish both body and spirit. Cooking isn’t just my career—it’s how I align with joy, purpose, and identity.

Mark did an incredible job capturing that essence. His photography, his thoughtful questions, and the way he showcases the hearts of people behind their craft—it’s a gift. I’m so grateful to be included among so many passionate individuals, and I hope my story helps others seek their own version of wholeness too.
