I’VE MISSED COOKING FOR YOU

THE TABLE IS SET — COME JOIN ME

It’s been a minute since I’ve opened up my table to the public, and I’ve really missed it.

I’ve spent the last few years traveling, filming, writing my cookbook, cooking in some incredible places, and meeting people from communities all over the country. And through all of it, I keep coming back to the same thing: some of the best connections I’ve ever made started around a table.

So I’m getting back in the kitchen and creating something that feels really special to me.

Welcome to IN SEASON.

IN SEASON is a series of intimate dinner parties here in Los Angeles built around what’s fresh, what’s growing, and what feels good to eat right now. Every dinner will be different—a new menu, a new theme, a beautiful space, good wine, music, maybe a reason to dress up, and definitely a few surprises.

But the food is only part of it.

I think a lot of us are asking ourselves right now: How do I make a difference? Where do I even start?

For me, so much of that answer comes back to community.

Who are you sitting next to? Who are you sharing ideas with? Who are you learning from? Who are you breaking bread with?

I may not have all the answers, but I know what I can do. I can cook. I can set a table. I can create a space where people feel comfortable showing up, having a really good meal, laughing, meeting someone they may never have met otherwise, and starting a conversation.

And you never know where one good conversation over dinner might lead.

IN SEASON is also about reconnecting with the land and the food that comes from it. We’ll celebrate ingredients when they’re actually in season, work with local farmers and businesses, and learn a little more about what’s growing around us. I want us to appreciate the abundance on the table, not just because it tastes better, but because knowing our food helps us better understand how to take care of ourselves and the places we call home.

Mostly, though, I want us to have a good time.

I want long tables. Passing plates. Great wine. Music. Laughter. New friends. Full bellies. Conversations that keep going after dinner is technically over.

That’s IN SEASON.

Our first dinner, Noche de Fuego, is September 17 at The Wine Station in Downtown Los Angeles. We’re kicking things off with a fire-kissed, family-style menu and, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, wines from Valle de Guadalupe.

And then on October 10, we do it all over again—but completely differently—with A Love Letter to Maize, celebrating all things corn.

Only about 30 seats are available at each table.

It feels really good to be cooking for you again.

Come hungry. Leave a little more rooted.

— Chef Pyet
